3 new sites come to the market

The first quarter of 2017 started with a flourish with Eckersley instructed to bring 3 new residential development opportunities to the market.
These include a 32.12 acre site at Dowbridge, Kirkham which has the benefit of an outline planning permission for between 95 and 170 units. The site is being offered for sale by way of “informal tender”.
Mark Clarkson confidently states, ““this is probably the best residential site in the Kirkham area being located on the western outskirts of the town with easy access to the A583 Blackpool Road linking Preston to Blackpool”.
Interested parties are invited to confirm expressions of interest with an informal tender date of Friday 31 March 2017. Offers are invited for the 95 unit element or the entire site able to produce up to 170 units.
The second opportunity is a 10.6 acre site at Caton, Lancaster which offers a strategic development opportunity for the Village of Caton, 5 miles to the east of Lancaster. The site offers potential for residential development subject to securing planning permission. There is, however, a detailed planning application on part of the farm which includes the renovation of existing farm buildings as well as the opportunity to build 2 new units. Eckersley are also pleased to bring to the market a small residential development opportunity at Little Hulton in Greater Manchester. The site previously had an outline consent for the development of 16 residential units on the former Cleggs Lane Mill site. The historic consent has now lapsed, but given the sites planning history and high level of demand for new housing in Manchester this site is an ideal opportunity for redevelopment for residential purposes subject again to obtaining the appropriate planning permission.
